The recordings for the CD started in 1991. Back then I recorded the first songs on a 4 track tape recorder. With the breakup of Ö-Norm, I decided to replace some of the live musical parts with programmed MIDI-instruments. In 1988 I bought a drum recorder, 1989 the 4-track recorder and 1990, after graduating from University and the conferment of my doctorate in medicine, I rewarded myself with a synthesizer. There began my first experiences in recording, and step by step, my knowledge improved with each new song.
With the breakup of my long time friend in 1999, I pulled myself together and compiled this CD. I mixed some of the older songs recorded on the tape recorder, with the new material done with the digital recorder, to complete this compilation. The first version contained twelve songs, and while the cover was being printed, I recorded the thirteenth song that now completes the CD.
"The Wall" and "How I Feel" were written and sung by Karin Beck, while I recorded the instruments and did the arrangement. Karin also sang "Never Felt So Much For Someone" and "Yellow Cars".
This album is dedicated to Karin, who always believed in me, and Chiara, who bas been a great inspiration.
